Accommodation and Food during Trek

Hikers Haven promises our trekkers to provide the best and most comfortable food and accommodation during our trek.

Generally, in cities like Kathmandu and Nepalgunj, basic to five-star hotels are available. All the accommodation depends upon your budget either to stay in the basic room or luxurious room by paying extra amount. Although there is a less chance to find a luxurious room in some places during your trek as it is mostly known as camping trek where we will be staying in a tent for most of the days. During the trek, you can find a single room with a couple of beds which will be shared by two individual trekkers.

Moving on to food, normally, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in costs. Other than that, in case any trekkers like to have extra food then it is served by paying an extra amount. In remote areas, basic foods like Pasta, noodles, momo, Dalbhat, etc. are available whereas you can choose among a variety of foods in cities.

How is this trek?

The journey from Upper Dolpo to Jomsom is lengthy and difficult. Perhaps one of Nepal's most demanding hikes is from Juphal to Jomsom. Each section covers approximately eleven mountain passes, including 7 of them over 5000 meters. This journey is best suited to hikers who have user-experience elevation trekking. You can tackle this journey once you've done quite a lot of elevated hiking and climbing in the past.

Altitude Sickness

Walking approximately 5-6 hours for about 22 days is a really tough thing to do. Normally, this trek is a high elevated hike where you have to walk above 4000 meters and spend nights there. Also, this region allows trekkers to cross passes above 5000 meters. Therefore, it is very necessary to take care of your body. Be sure to drink enough water to be hydrated during your trip and avoid altitude sickness. Someone who is not physically and mentally fit needs to avoid this trek. It is always unexpected that no one is known about altitude sickness as it happens suddenly.
