The centre piece of attraction of the region is its majestic towering peaks including Annapurna I (8,091 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m). Other prominent mountains in the region are Annapurna South (7,273 m), Gangapurna (7,454 m), Macchapuchre or Fishtail (6,993 m) and Hiuchuli (6,441 m).
