About Ganesh Himal Trek

The isolated mountain of the god of good fortune, Mount Ganesh is not too far from Kathmandu and can be seen from the airport in clear weather. The mountains lie, as it were, wedged between the mountain ranges of Manaslu and Langtang and is still an authentic piece of Nepal. Ganesh Himal (7405m) gets its name from the Hindu god with elephant head, Ganesh. Ganesh is the son of the gods Shiva and Parvati and is honored as a disposer of setback and prosperity.

It is a medium tour through an area that has everything that makes Nepal so interesting and beautiful. Villages, rice fields, rivers, mighty mountain panoramas alternate. We also get to know the predominantly Buddhist population in these areas. The area is mainly inhabited by Tamangs, the largest tribe of all Nepalese mountain people. They are of Tibetan descent and therefore Buddhist.

Optionally we make a beautiful day trip to a beautiful vantage point. This tour is perfect for a combination with rafting or mountain biking.
