About Manaslu Circuit Trek- 11 days

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is an unforgettable experience. We come past gorgeous Tibetan towns, steep meadows, glaciers, and High Mountain pass during this trek. For daring and environmental enthusiasts, the Manaslu region is a remarkable and perfect hiking destination.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an authentic Himalayan journey. Mt. Manaslu is the world's eighth tallest peak, flanked by Annapurna in the west and Ganesh Himal in the east. Usually, very few tourists visit this area annually, rendering the trail fewer hectic. You won't encounter many other groups as during peak tourist season. One of Nepal's most iconic treks in the Manaslu Circuit. Its trail goes around the Manaslu Conservation Area, resulting in a stunning vista of the world's eighth tallest peak, Mount Manaslu.

The Manaslu Circuit Hike might be an excellent option if you've previously completed the Annapurna Circuit. It's a 14-day hike that commences at Soti Khola and stops at Beshi Sahar, but might be made into a 22-day trek by including a side trip to the Tsum Valley.

The footpaths merge traditional exploration alongside magnificent natural views in an incomparable way. You'll be enabled to wander in a peaceful environment, passing via majestic peaks and grassy meadows on the Tibetan border. The fact that backpackers expend a good deal of time traveling the gorgeous Tsum valley area, which has been undisturbed for decades and has seldom any tourists, makes this climb incredibly popular.

Furthermore, spending the night in one of the abandoned hamlets is a delightful experience. Namrung, Samagaun, and Lo Gaun, to mention a few, are charming and culturally significant historic towns. The Gurungs, Rais, and Magars that live in these villages are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Trek to Manaslu follows the conservation area's path until it exceeds the threshold pass, Larkya La Pass. The magnificent pass is one of the treks more hard and demanding paths, that require extra physical fitness. The hike is made fascinating as well as spectacular by the magnificent environment and the spectacular setting of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, and Annapurna II tracing all across Pass.

Well, the spring and the autumn are the best seasons to do Manaslu Circuit Trek.

Manaslu Trekking Guide

Because the Manaslu Trekking Region is a restricted region, each guide must have been officially licensed by the government and professionals. Our licensed and experienced trekking guide will accompany you on the walk and will have deep knowledge about the whole hike. A guide can speak English and is well-versed in mountains, acute mountain sickness (AMS), inhabitants, and tradition.

Accommodation and Food

Basic tea houses will be used for food and accommodation in the Manaslu Region Trek. This is perhaps the most popular Manaslu area trek, and it merely consists of walking from the teahouse into a teahouse. Teahouses are modest hotels that could be situated in local communities which provide both lodging and home-cooked meals. In most cases, rooms are shared among multiple hikers.

The meals in the Manaslu hiking area are healthy and local organic. Restaurants even provide international cuisines such as pizza, burgers, spaghetti, as well as a variety of other dishes. In isolated places, communities usually set restrictions that you should purchase meals from the same guest house where you are staying. Every hotel has an expert chef who can prepare almost whatever you want.

Permits and Papers

Manaslu region is a restricted area, solo travelers are not allowed to hike in the Manaslu region as trekkers have to walk inside Manaslu Conservation Area. Also, permits are very necessary during your entire trip. Here are the lists of permits required for Manaslu Circuit Trek:

  • Manaslu Restricted Permit
  • Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP)
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)

How difficult is this?

This is indeed a rough to difficult hike. To do the Manaslu Circuit trek, you must be able to just walk for 6-7 hours a day. At Larkya la, there still is 1 unique day when you must trek before actual sunrise to beat the storm. This section of the walk is relatively difficult. As a result, it is necessary to be physically healthy and maybe do some physical training before the walk. To complete the Manaslu trip, one must have strong willpower and devotion.
