Ghorepani Poonhil Trek Itinerary


  • Day 1 Arrival Kathmandu (1320m)

    Namaste! We welcome you to the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Kathmandu is an incredible city with Temples and Heritage sites in almost every nook and corner. Given the time, you can stroll around Thamel and Kathmandu Durbar Square before we meet for the paper works and documentation for the preparation of our trek starting the next day. Upon Arrival at the TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport), Kathmandu, our representative will receive you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)

     This is the first day of your trek where you will enjoy the drive crossing the several rivers and settlements, finally, Pokhara valley and its amazing Phewa Lake near Lakeside. During the night, you might take a look in Lakeside experiencing the clear air of Pokhara valley including some shops for buying some trekking gear if you wish.

    Please note: You may catch a domestic airplane from Kathmandu to Pokhara and vice versa rather than driving. The journey might take 6-7 hours or more, depending on traffic, and it can be tiresome.

  • Day 3 Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m)

    The Annapurna mountain and Machapuchhre (also nicknamed as Fishtail) (6997 meters) overshadow the sky and the gorgeous Phewa Lake with its image in it. A private car will transfer us to Naya Pool, approximately an hour and a half from Pokhara. The hike commences at Nayapul and extends through Birethanthi, Sudame, and Hille villages. The trek follows the Bhurungdi Khola (River) for the entire day before arriving at Tikhedhunga, the day's endpoint.

  • Day 4 Trek to Ghorepani (2860m)

    Today's fun starts with something like a 2-hour pretty tough walk to Ulleri (2070m), continued by a 2-hour drive to Banthanti, a Magar community with stunning scenery of Mt. Machapuchare (6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m), as well as Annapurna South (7219m). On our trip to Ghorepani, we pass a small footbridge while traveling through a gorgeous pink rhododendron forest, wherein towering peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna appear in the backdrop.

  • Day 5 Trek to Poon Hill and Stay at Ghandruk

    Poon Hill is well specialized in providing unrivaled perspectives of the Annapurna Ranges, notably at sunrise and sunset. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Nilgiri (6940m), & Lamjung Himal are now just a few of the mountains which attracts the visitors towards it. For breakfast, we will trek again to Ghorepani. Following, a walk to Ghandruk will also be more interesting as you will be greeted well by Gurung locals living in this region. Ghandruk is known as the largest Gurung settlement in the Annapurna region.

  • Day 6 Trek to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara

    Until you reach Syauli Bazaar, the sharp decline from Ghandruk Village resumes. The path runs beside a newly built roadway until it reaches Birethanti. A simple walk to Naya Pul finalizes the trek. The city and its luxuries are mostly a couple of hours away, and then a private vehicle is waiting for you.

  • Day 7 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

    This is the final day of your Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek so, you can do sightseeing inside Pokhara Valley if you wish. Return to Kathmandu while delighting in the incredible views and diverse landscapes, along with traversing settlements and agricultural cropland. Sight-seeing around Pokhara valley if you wish and agree to pay extra charge.
