Namaste and welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. If time permits, visit UNESCO World Heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square or Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). In the evening, we’ll meet for a briefing and complete the necessary paperwork for the trek.
Langtang Valley Trek Itinerary - 8 Days
- Day 1 Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,320m / 4,330 ft)
- Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m / 5,085 ft)- Distance: 17 km / 72 miles (7–8 hours drive) - Your trek officially begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the trailhead for the Langtang Valley. The journey (117 km) takes about 7–8 hours, following winding mountain roads, river valleys, and terraced fields. On arrival, you’ll find a lively bazaar with clustered lodges and tea houses where you’ll spend the night. 
- Day 3 Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m / 7,808 ft)- Distance: 11 km / 6.8 miles (6–7 hours trek) - The trek begins by crossing the Bhote Koshi (Tibet River) and following the Langtang Khola upstream. The trail passes through subtropical forests filled with oak, bamboo, and rhododendrons. Keep an eye out for langur monkeys, Himalayan birds, and maybe even the elusive red panda. The path gradually climbs before reaching Lama Hotel, a small settlement with cozy lodges. 
- Day 4 Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,543m / 11,624 ft)- Distance: 14 km / 8.6 miles(6–7 hours trek) - After breakfast, the trail ascends steadily through dense forest until you reach Ghoda Tabela, a checkpoint and rest stop. Beyond here, the valley widens, opening up stunning views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m / 23,711 ft). The trek continues through yak pastures and traditional Tamang villages before arriving at Langtang Village, a Tibetan-influenced community rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake. 
- Day 5 Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,770m / 12,369 ft)- Distance: 7 km / 4.3 miles(3–4 hours trek) - We leave town following breakfast and then go through yak fields. We then stroll via Nepal's largest mani barrier and several bamboo ladders. You may probably feel the dry mountain air once we edge closer to the highest elevations. The Mountain encompasses KanjinGompa across all angles. You can take a walk surrounding KanjinGompa, enjoying the panoramas, ice sheets, icefalls, and yaks. 
- Day 6 Acclimatization & Hike to Tserko Ri (5,000m / 16,404 ft)- Distance: 7–8 km / 4.9–5 miles 6–7 hours hike (round trip) - You will wave goodbye to breathtaking peaks such as LangtangLirung, LangtangRi, and DorjeLakpa after quite a delightful morning in KyanjinGompa. You'll arrive to Rimche/ Lama Hotel (2,480m/8,136ft) by foot. The hike down to Lama Hotel would require approximately 5 hours. - You may enjoy the scenery that you skipped on the way up. You will see various magnificent birds such as Lophophorus, Nepal's national bird, crimson horned pheasant, Wood Snipe, and Snow Partridge as you descend via oak, maple, and rhododendron forest. 
- Day 7 Trek from Kyanjin Gompa back to Lama Hotel (2,380m / 7,808 ft)- Distance: 20 km / 12.4 miles(5/6 hours Trek) - You will commence your hike at your speed on the sixth day of your travel. From Lama Hotel, you'll relax and enjoy a hike back to Syabrubesi, marveling at the scenery along the way. This would require anyone about 5-6 hours to accomplish. 
- Day 8 Drive to Kathmandu (1,320m / 4,330 ft)- Distance : 17 km / 72 miles (7–8 hours drive) - On the last day, you'll travel back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenery and remembering your exciting journey. This would approximately 6-7 hours to reach Kathmandu.
