Pikey Peak Trek Detailed Itineary - 7 Days

  • Day 1 Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap (2,900m) – 7 to 8 hours

    Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu, heading east through rolling hills, small settlements, and terraced fields. As you approach Dhap, the gateway to Pikey region, you’ll already start seeing glimpses of the mountains. Upon arrival, check in to a local lodge and enjoy a warm Sherpa dinner. Overnight stay in Dhap.

  • Day 2 Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2,820m) – 4 to 5 hours

    After breakfast, the trail gently climbs through rhododendron forests and open meadows. Small monasteries, mani walls, and prayer flags mark your way. Jhapre is a beautiful Sherpa village perched on a ridge with spectacular views of Numbur Himal and Everest on a clear day. Explore the village and its monastery. Overnight stay in Jhapre.

  • Day 3 Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp (3,640m) – 5 to 6 hours

Upon reaching Pikey Base Camp, you’ll be welcomed by panoramic mountain views. Rest and prepare for an early morning summit hike. Overnight stay at Pikey Base Camp.

From the top, enjoy one of the best panoramas in Nepal — including Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Numbur, Gauri Shankar, and Langtang range. After soaking in the view, descend to Base Camp and continue trekking down through forests and local villages until you reach Loding. Overnight stay in a teahouse.
